Adrian Dobra and affiliate Nathalie Williams receive NSF grant
Prof. Adrian Dobra (Statistics, Nursing, CSSS core faculty) and co-investigator and CSSS affiliate Prof. Nathalie Williams (Sociology, International Studies) have been awarded an NSF grant titled ATD: Geospatial Graphical Models of Human Response to Emergencies.
This three-year project will use novel machine learning tools to identify spatiotemporal patterns of reactions in human behavioral responses to emergency events. The goal is to improve the ability to use publicly-available large-scale human-generated geospatial data sources for identification of emergency events.
Congratulations to Profs. Dobra and Williams.
