Erin Lipman and Jess Kunke receive Best Student Paper Awards from the American Statistical Association

Congratulations to Erin Lipman and Jess Kunke on receiving Best Student Paper Awards from the American Statistical Association! 

  

Erin Lipman, advised by CSSS affiliate faculty Abel Rodriguez, is the recipient of the Best Paper Award from the Section on Bayesian Statistical Science for her work “Explaining Differences in Voting Patterns Across Voting Domains Using Hierarchical Bayesian Models” 

  

Jess Kunke, advised by CSSS core faculty Tyler McCormick, is the recipient of the Best Paper Award issued jointly by the Government Statistics, Social Statistics, and Survey Research Methods Sections for her work “Comparing the Robustness of Simple Network Scale-Up Method (NSUM) Estimators” that will appear in Sociological Methodology 

  

Both Erin and Jess will be presenting their respective papers at special sessions in August at the 2024 Joint Statistical Meetings in Portland.
