Blalock Fellowship
Each year, the Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences awards Hubert M. Blalock Fellowships to a select group of incoming graduate students from departments with CSSS-related Ph.D. tracks. Candidates for this award are nominated by their department's graduate advisor, and Fellows are selected by the CSSS Graduate Committee. The Fellowship is named for Hubert M. Blalock, a leading sociological methodologist who was Professor of Sociology and Statistics at the University of Washington and a former President of the American Sociological Association.
