Thomas Richardson is Co-winner of the first Rousseeuw Prize for Statistics

Thomas Richardson, an affiliate faculty and former director of CSSS, is a co-winner of the first Rousseeuw Prize for Statistics. As part of a long-standing team of collaborators together with James Robins, Miguel Hernán, Andrea Rotnitzky, and Eric Tchetgen Tchetgen, Thomas Richardon has been recognized for his pioneering work on Causal Inference with applications in Medicine and Public Health. “This is now one of the major prizes in Statistics, and almost certainly the richest, being worth $1 million!” said Adrian Raftery, the founding director of CSSS and University of Washington’s Boeing International Professor of Statistics and Sociology.
